2018–19 Snapshot of performance

This is a snapshot image of NOPSEMA's performance for 2018-19. NOPSEMA completed 158 assessments, including 41 environment plans, 2 offshore project proposals, 91 safety cases, 7 diving safety management systems, 17 well operations management plans. NOPSEMA completed 176 inspections, comprising of 42 environmental management inspections, 124 occupational health and safety inspections, 10 well integrity inspections and 1214 inspection recommendations. NOPSEMA had 880 liasion meetings in 2018-19, including 611 with duty holder, 137 with government. 132 with other stakeholders. NOPSEMA currently has 2744 online subscribers, including 2430 for the Regulator magazine, 1547 occupational health and safety, well integrity and environmental management news subscribers and 1097 health and safety representative news.

This is the second snapshot of performance image. NOPSEMA completed 529 investigations, these included 39 for environmental management, 419 for occupational health and safety, and 71 for well integrity. NOPSEMA issued 29 enforcement actions, including 7 general directions, 1 prohibition notice, 1 prosecution brief, 16 improvement notices, and 4 requests to revise a permissioning document.
