EXECUTIVE REMUNERATION

A summary of executive remuneration for key management personnel at the Library is provided in Table B.5.

Key management personnel include members of the Library’s Council, the Director-General and members of the NLA Executive.

Remuneration for non-executive Council members is set by the Remuneration Tribunal under the applicable Remuneration and Allowances for Holders of Part-time Public Office Determination.

The Director-General’s remuneration is set by the Library’s Council under the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973, within the framework outlined by the Remuneration Tribunal’s determination for
principal executive offices. Remuneration for the Library’s other senior executive employees is set by the Director-General in accordance with the Library’s SES Remuneration Policy. Salary levels for SES employees are set at rates within an applicable salary band and are subject to annual review.
