I am pleased to present you with the National Competition Council’s (Council) annual report for the year ended 30 June 2020.

The report has been prepared in accordance with section 46 of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act) and subsection 29O of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.

As required by section 10 of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Rules 2014, I certify that:

• the Council has prepared fraud risk assessments and fraud control plans
• the Council has in place appropriate mechanisms that meet the specific needs of the Council for preventing; detecting incidents of; investigating or otherwise dealing with; and recording or reporting fraud
• the Council has taken all reasonable measures to appropriately deal with fraud relating to the Council.
