About IPFA

IPFA is an independent executive agency under the Public Service Act 1999 (PS Act), established 1 July 2017. For the purposes of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act), IPFA is a non corporate Commonwealth entity.

The CEO reports to the Minister for Population, Cities and Urban Infrastructure, the Hon Alan Tudge MP. Minister Tudge was the responsible Minister for the entire reporting period, 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020.

Reflecting IPFA’s whole of government role, on 8 August 2019, following an amendment to the Administrative Arrangements Orders, IPFA became an executive agency within the Treasury Portfolio. Prior to 8 August 2019, the agency was part of the Infrastructure, Transport, Cities and Regional Development Portfolio.
