During 2018-2019 in accordance with its legislative responsibilities under the Act, FASEA approved and registered the following legislative instruments and related explanatory statements:

In addition to the legislative program FASEA has made significant progress against each of its legislative responsibilities including

  • developing and delivering the first FASEA Financial Advisers exam in June 2019 across 9 centres with 38 sittings for nearly 600 advisers.
  • accrediting a wide range of higher education provider degrees and courses that meet the FASEA curriculum standard including 66 historical courses, 63 Bachelor or higher degrees and 27 bridging courses.
  • approving coursework to attain a professional designation for 5 professional associations.
  • launching FASEA’s online foreign qualification approval and domestic degree assessment services.
  • approving and releasing policy guidance documents to support the legislative instruments for education, exam, professional year and CPD and a FASEA policy guide for foreign qualification approval.
