Analysis

In accordance with section 16F(2) of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Rule 2014, the annual performance statement must include an analysis of factors affecting an entity’s performance in achieving its purposes in the reporting period.

Several changes were made to CASA’s structures in 2019–20 to enable more effective and efficient operations.

In addition, a parliamentary inquiry into the current state of Australia’s general aviation industry, with particular reference to aviation in rural, regional and remote Australia, was announced on
6 December 2019.

Overall, CASA performed at a high level during the reporting period despite challenges associated with significant disruptions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
