As the accountable authority for the Bureau of Meteorology (the Bureau), I am pleased to present the Annual Report of the Australian Bureau of Meteorology for 2019–20. The report details our ongoing efforts to provide trusted, reliable and responsive weather, water, climate and ocean services for Australia—all day, every day. The report has been prepared in accordance with section 46 of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 which requires that you present the report to the Parliament.

In accordance with the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Rule 2014, I certify that the Bureau has a fraud risk assessment and fraud control plan, and has in place appropriate fraud prevention, detection and investigation procedures for dealing with, recording and reporting fraud, and that all reasonable measures have been taken to deal appropriately with fraud relating to the Bureau.
