Budget variances commentary
Cash Flow Statement
- Cash received through appropriations was higher than budget primarily as a result of ASADA's use of prior year available appropriations to fund the office fitout.
- Sale of goods and rendering of services was lower than budget due to the effect of COVID-19 on sport test plans, and the impact of a reduction in sample collection fees charged to sports as of 1 January 2019.
- Other cash received was higher than expected primarily due to un-budgeted funding received from the Department of Health to assist with implementation of Sport Integrity Australia.
- The variance in total cash used by investing activities was due to investment in the new office fitout and IT assets.
