Onbass/Giant Steps Scholarship | Awarded on the basis of merit or equity | The Onbass/Giant Steps Scholarship will be awarded to support and develop the career of a gifted storyteller who may not be able to afford to study full-time in Sydney, giving them the opportunity to do so by providing them with a 3-year commitment per recipient. UNHCR Beddie Scholarship | Awarded on the basis of merit or equity | The Public Education Foundation’s new Australia for UNHCR Beddie Scholarship is for students with a refugee background who intend to study film, television, or radio studies at a tertiary level in 2020. This scholarship has been established to encourage greater understanding across the Australian community of the refugee experience. It is intended to help the scholarship holder develop their talents and gain a qualification as a storyteller in film, television, or online media. Virgin Scholarship | Awarded on the basis of equity. | The scholarship supports students from diverse cultural, ethnic, or socio-economic backgrounds, or otherwise underrepresented minority groups. The Virgin Australia Scholarship will be awarded to support and develop the career of the recipient living outside of NSW, providing them with a financial scholarship as well as one return flight from Sydney to their hometown. Emerson College | Awarded on the basis of merit | The scholarship supports one Indigenous BA student to attend Art Into Film Program at Kasteel Well, the Netherlands for 6 weeks. The scholarship covers all tuition fees, accommodation at Kasteel Well, on-site meals and intra-program transport.
